My website follows the format and style of a lifestyle blog and contains specific categories that are in my interest.
I wanted my theme to look clean, but effective. The homepage is easy to navigate, with the use of a drop-down menu, displaying the different categories. Scrolling through the homepage, viewers will discover a slider that advertises my latest posts in a creative way. Here, viewers are able to develop an understanding of what my blog is about and the type of content that is produced.
As an individual who is interested in working with audio, I have included a category in the main menu called ‘Podcasts.’ Here, I have embedded audio from Soundcloud, to showcase the podcasts and episodes that I am apart of. In case readers view a different category, I have embedded an audio player to my sidebar, which features the latest podcast episode.
Finally, I have inserted a contact page and have linked my social media accounts, which can be found on the sidebar, and top right-hand corner and towards the footer of the homepage.
