Camberwell station reopening!.. Anyone?

08 Jan Camberwell station reopening!.. Anyone?

Old Camberwell Railway Station is currently being assessed to see whether it can once again be open for business. After being closed for a century, the Tfl are working with Network Rail to re-establish the forgotten tracks. Quite the fitting scheme as Camberwell Green is being reinvented with open space, new housing and a demand for “much better, much needed” transport. Local transport includes Denmark Hill Station which is boarder line East Dulwich and the reliable bus services from the trusted Tfl, which indicates the need for a new station… quickly.

With all the aesthetic advances being made to Camberwell it’s blinded the locals from what’s happening regarding the reopening of Camberwell Railway Station. The locals seem oblivious to the changes being made in their own area from the elderly to the youth.  “Um yeah, it’ll bring in loads of tourists” said confused Camberwell so called “local”. A group of high school boys referred to the reopening as “dead” and of no importance to them as there is nothing to do in Camberwell for the youth. An elderly couple living in Camberwell for over 30 years had “no idea” about the advances being made and said it will cause more disruption.
