Cancelling Cultural PCOS Stigma
PCOS affects 1 in 10 women, the majority do not know what it is and don’t know how to deal with life following a diagnosis. Especially women in the South Asian community, fear speaking openly about this for fear of being judged by elders in the family. This short documentary targets, not just the women suffering but targeting views from those around these women. To educate them about what PCOS is and the best way to support that person. The aim is to cancel this cultural stigma, make it a known subject and make it an open conversation that can be had.
