Aims and audience
The aim of my website is to display my work in an organised and professional manner. It is aimed at potential employers and anyone who may be interested in my freelance work. I chose this portfolio style as a means of my website also being a portfolio for all my work.
I selected my ‘Writing’ page as my homepage as I wanted to showcase my ability to write at first glance. This will help me attract employers looking for blog writers, content writers etc.
I wanted to display my podcast as one of the main features on my website. I believe it demonstrates my ability to host my own show and presence in a radio room. As radio is a sector of journalism that interests me, this is how I intend to draw employers’ attention.
This section of my website is intended to showcase my experience and abilities in the T.V presenting sector of journalism. This includes shows hosted at university.
My photography is showcased in this section of my website as I believe that such a skill is essential for any journalist. Here you may find photos taken during the beginning of COVID-19 as I believed it was a historical period of time.
My contact page allows my audience to email me with any enquiries or questions about my work. I have created a separate email for my website as a means of keeping my professional and work life separate from personal.
