Seyi Adejori – Website Submission

Website: http://www.seyiadejori.com/

As an avid reader, I choose to create a website to mirror my aim to pursue a job as an editorial assistant in the publishing industry. My website goal is to showcase my book reviews, articles and interviews with authors and publishers. From my website, the employer can see that I enjoy reading and that I have acquired some connections in the industry, they will also be able to see my writing style and editorial skills. I opted for a simplistic theme so that my writing, pictures and every book covers can stand out. I looked at different publishing websites and they’re minimal, heavily focusing on content and the book covers, I took inspiration from 4th Estate and Bloomsbury.

Front Page

On my front page, I showcased an interview I did with a popular author and my book reviews. I wanted this to be one of the first things the employer sees, as it is a minimal theme the books covers and the images stand out. If you scroll down you will find an explanation of what you will find on my website, alongside options to click on a review or interview.

Book Review Page

On this page, you can view all my book reviews. You can click on the book and see the genre, author, and read a little bit of what it is about. This gives the employer a sense of what type of books I enjoy reading and my style of writing.

Interviews Page

On this page, the employer can read all my interviews with different authors and view my editorial skills and style of writing.

Curriculum Vitae page

This page is so the employer can have a look at my cv instead of contacting me for it and so that they will be able to see my experiences and skills in detail.

About Me Page

On this page, the employer can learn about myself, my experiences and my interests and they can see my favourite books, to give them more of an idea of what enjoy reading.
