JOSHUA MBU – WEBSITE

16 Jun JOSHUA MBU – WEBSITE

I chose to create my website www.joshmbu.com in the form of a simple portfolio website, where I can showcase my work. Both of my articles published on the Daily Mail’s website are published on my own portfolio site. Furthermore, links to my work for The Sun are on my website. As I work regularly for The Sun, the most recently published piece of work will be displayed and hyperlinked on my website. This allows potential employers to see the work I’m doing and get an idea of my work ethic and writing style.

I decided to design my own website myself, as I was going for a very basic and simple theme, but effective. Black and white are the predominant colours on my website, making it easy to read. The first thing you’ll see when you go onto my website is a description of who I am, who I work for and what experience I have. My passion for sports journalism is also highlighted. I took particular inspiration from Josephine Moulds‘ website and she is also a freelance journalist.

Portfolio category:

When you click on my portfolio category, you will find links to all of my professional work produced for both the Daily Mail and The Sun. They are placed into boxes that you can hover over and click, directly taking you to the work.

CV category:

When you navigate your way to my CV page, you will find a preview of my CV to the left. There is also the option to digitally view my CV or you can simply download it to your smartphone, laptop or any other device you are using.

You can view my CV digitally, just click the button!

Contact me:

When you click on my “contact me” page, you will find some information on how to contact including by phone and email. There is a specific box where you can send me your email – all you have to do is put in your name, email address and message. The reason why my email is not on display is to avoid getting spam to my inbox.
