I chose to develop this minimalistic, yet professional website http://www.alessiasasso.com/, in which I exhibit all my best work. I chose a white, black, and grey theme as I thought it would look simple and professional. I took inspiration from other freelance journalists and kept my website tidy and minimal. It was thanks to this website that I passed through onto the second stage of the interview with Kalamaki Street Greek the Social Media Assistant job I know have, therefore I am very proud of how this website looks and works.
I chose the theme “Rima” on WordPress, I very much liked the fonts and the whole grey/black look it has. I thought this could be a great theme for my portfolio and I believe to have made a great job with it. I want the focus to be on the home page as I created the logo with the specific fonts the theme gave and I love the categories squares as it makes the website so easy to navigate.
I chose to keep my About Me page very simple, I introduced myself, my degree, my passion, and an introduction to what my website will offer. I have the Twitter feed side widget throughout my website, I believe it is a great tool to contact me and to learn about my latest work.
I personally find this very interesting and eye-catching. At the end of every post, I have added a comment section so that people can interact with me, I also want the focus to be on the gallery of articles at the end of every post, I believe this to be a great strategy to keep the audience attention.
My Videos category is very simple yet very strategic, I opted to have upload each video that I had different roles to show versatility and independence within the industry, I, however, struggled with this page and originally this isn’t how I wanted it to look, I wanted the videos to be next to each other but the theme wouldn’t allow me to do so.
I wanted to include this Twitter side widget as I believe to be a great way to interact with the audience and to show my Social Media presence.
