Unsigned Exposure Documentary

22 May Unsigned Exposure Documentary

My project explores the relationship between unsigned music artists and social media. Independent artists rely heavily on social media to build their careers, in many ways, it plays the same role as a record label in providing exposure. In recent years social media platforms, have actively lowered organic reach, leading to a decline in views across all user accounts, an action that has pushed users towards paid promotions.

This documentary aims to explore the impact of these changes on users, with unsigned artists as a focal point, a group effected by this issue, offering a new perspective on social media platforms. The intended audience is regular social media users, unsigned artists and individuals interested in underground music.
