How much longer can grassroots football survive?

22 May How much longer can grassroots football survive?

My project looked at the rising problems caused by the continuous cuts to grassroots football over the years and the problems that’s causing, ranging from those running clubs to players and the members of communities who are left without a local team as a result leaving young people in those areas in a tough situation, especially for those who have aspirations of a footballing career. This is also at a time when the top tier of football is seeing record breaking figures of money coming into the sport so it begs the question why this is the case. I aim to raise awareness and highlight the obvious health risks to those involved but also the social and economic consequences. This is a piece mainly aimed at those who have an interest in football throughout all ages and want to see another side of the game lived by many
