My multimedia piece looks into the growing issue of brain injury in boxing. However, it steers away from the medical side of things to instead look into the indirect causes, and what could be done to prevent future fatalities.

The piece includes interviews (video, audio and text) with promoters, ex-boxers and legendary boxing writers to give weight to the discussion. I decided to present the information on Shorthand, which despite being temperamental at times, produces a clean, fresh layout in which to present an array of different media.

The intended aim was simply to open up a discussion, and present a project to highlights the effect that everyone involved in boxing can have on this sensitive topic.

The target audience will of course be fans of combat sports, and more so boxing. Although there is definitely an appeal for the general public, as the world becomes more safety conscious than ever before.
