Families Lost and Found: Pre and Post Internet (Draft)

03 Apr Families Lost and Found: Pre and Post Internet (Draft)

My project is about the journey of two different adoptees uniting with long lost biological families. Both stories are inter-whining with similarities whilst maintaining their uniqueness. This is achieved by digging into history and comparing circumstances pre and post internet. The aim of this project is to shed light on adoption with all the positives and negatives that come with it- no two stories are ever the same. In the UK, the legal age for adoptees to trace down birth family is 18+, so my project is intended for that age range. Whilst it is primarily targeted for adoptees searching for biological family, it is also aimed for anyone who is looking to learn a thing or two about adoption. These are not sob stories. They rather demonstrate that with so much corruption that exists in the world, happy endings do exist.
