Court Report

An ‘abusive’ women has been found guilty for a drunk and disorderly after causing a public disturbance after shouting profanities and being ‘abusive’ to members of the public.

59 year old Francesca Bibi of 38 Fernanin Court, Dalston, has been prosecuted with a drunken disorderly charge after being verbally abusive to the staff at the location in which she was arrested in East London.

Westminster Magistrates Court heard that on the night of the address, Miss Bibi was seen outside a local business, “clearly intoxicated” causing a disturbance as she had an altercation with the business owner. A member of public ran the police when they heard the commotion and the police quickly came to the scene.

After pleading guilty to the charge of Drunk and Disorderly, the court heard that she had 15 previous public order offences and was fined £100 fine for the public disorder charge, and also a £36 victim’s charge.

Bibi had a remorseful demeanor whilst she was being sentenced, accepting that her behaviour would be considered “abusive”. The prosecuting district judge told Bibi : “More than the sentence, we want you to seek help”. Miss Bibi goes on to suggest the reason for her lack of “control” was her recent medical news concerning her eyes, and how that led her to become depressed. The case closes after sentencing with miss Bibi  as it was agreed unanimously that miss Bibi was guilty of the charge and accepted the sentencing willingly.
