06 Dec Woman sentenced on drunk and disorderly charges

A London woman has received a fine, after her 16th appearance in court for drunk and disorderly charges.

Francesca Bibi, 59 of Fermain Court in Dalston London, pleaded guilty to the charges against her.

She was not represted in court by a lawyer and was fined the sum of £100.

The offence in question was committed on the 2nd October 2019 at 4pm in Bishopsgate were Bibi was seen “shouting for no reason” at members of the public

She was out drinking with friends and had gone out for fresh air when the offence was committed.

Bibi is no stranger to the judicial system. The court heard that she has had a total of 107 past arrests, 67 previous convictions, 15 of which were for similar drunk and disorderly charges.

The judge was told that, due to her previous convictions, Bibi still owes money to the court. She receives income in the form of benefits, but due to these outstanding debts her daughter looks after her finances.

During the sentencing, the district judge said to her “what will it take to stop you?”

She is currently receiving help after being diagnosed as partially sighted and requires the help of a support worker to assist her.
