Headline: “Blue Story”: controversy in the UK after the withdrawal of the film accused of inciting violence

Lead-in: Blue story is a film that has been blighted by issues and scandal having been taken out of circulation by Vue after fears of violence. The movie depicts the gang culture in London and traces the story between two gangs in South London. Our reporter Marinka Gamtsemlidze went out to Leicester Square to find out the public opinion on the film.

The VT I have chosen to be submitted was broadcast on 17 October 2019. My team, consisting of Adan Wardhere (cameraman), Yasmine Taviot (editor) and myself (reporter) went down to Cineworld movie theater in Picadilly Circus to the screening of the movie “Blue Story”. As a reporter, I was responsible for reporting, writing studio introduction and outro. Before going to the location, I gathered information about the movie and prepared questions for my interviews. After filming, I did a voice-over and assisted my team with editing the VK package.
