Headline: TfL fares to be frozen for the fourth year
Studio cue: The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan has confirmed that Transport for London (TfL) fares will not rise until the end of 2020. By keeping fares the same, the Mayor believes it brings advantages for Londoners using TfL as a mode of transport as it encourages people to continue to use public transport and deter them from using their cars to travel. JLDN reporter, Mahira Begum headed out to ask Londoners what they thought about the fare price freeze.
For this VT I was the reporter and researcher. I had found out that Transport for London (TfL) were freezing their fares for another year as it was announced by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan. I did research on this topic by finding out exactly what the story was about and had contacted people to have an interview with them on this story. I also booked out the camera from the kit room so we was ready to go out filming around London. Seyi had also done some research and wrote me out a PTC and questions for the interview and vox pops. Ameera was the camera person and she had picked up the camera from the kit room and went out filming with me around London for GV’s, vox pops and the interview. Juliana was the news editor so she wrote the studio intro and the news story. Miryam edited the VT.
