Quiet, humble and peaceful kings college student Henri who decided to provide some time for the homeless from his busy life in London

Henri de Belloy is a 20-year-old young campaigner who provides warm food and hot beverages to homeless on the streets of Covent garden and station of Charing cross.

Henri quotes “I picked this up from a guy on campus who used distribute sandwiches around the area for the homeless”.

Henri is a kings college, a second-year student who studies computer science. He usually likes to work alone from home and do more independent work. He met Laurence who ran this services before and decided to try out the first week with this campaign.

During the interview, Henri mentioned that he originated from Italy where he continued his services in a catholic church.

Henri’s gesture towards this campaign was very kind and example to the young people.

“We helped the disabled people around the church and the town we lived in. We usually take them to leisure centre and parks.”

Henri is on the left side with his friends who are helping the homeless.

In his past life, Henri has always been active from high school where he helped out with various charities and was willing to continue this service in University.

Every Tuesday Henri and a couple of students from the university gather around at 6 pm to volunteer around the area of charing cross, oxford circus and Covent garden. They give out sandwiches, biscuits and hot beverages like tea and coffee.

This campaign was not set up by university but by the catholic society who decided to share some kindness and give happiness through the warm meals and hot beverages which will help them through the night.

The campaign was something very close to heart for Henri as he felt very sorry for them and whatever they were experiencing.

This service was first started by the Newman house chaplaincy who contributed to the Catholic society at kings college London and the whole campaign was sponsored by the Westminister Cathedral who was very happy to see Henri doing such incredible work.

“The minister asked if I needed help with the campaign and he promoted it by distributing the poster about this campaign which is how I had a lot of volunteers”.

Unfortunately, Henri graduates next year which means he will no longer be able to continue this campaign and he is afraid that it might stop after he leaves that’s why he is looking for enthusiastic young people to contribute more which will help their campaign run longer.
