13 Dec Fashion and climate change, how they interlink to effect low income people

Fast fashion has been a huge topic of conversation due to its devastating contributions to the climate crisis. The industry is under scrutiny from climate change activist groups, however as with many other efforts to tackle the climate crisis, change comes at a cost. If the fast fashion industry was to end, the low prices relied upon by low income people to purchase clothing would go with it, having a devastating impact on lower socio economic groups. This video explores the difference between fast and sustainable fashion, the impact of fast fashion on the climate and how we can find a balance moving towards a sustainable fashion future, ensuring that low income people are not effected by this movement.
