Alex Rocha, a 24 year old man from Church Street Estate, NW8, was charged with 5 counts of drug dealing offences in Southwark Crown Court on the 21st of October. He was charged three times with the intent to supply crack cocaine, once to supply cocaine and once to supply heroin. 

He was also charged in breach of a restraining order and possession of criminal property. He however, pleaded not guilty to two charges in breach of a restraining order and those charges were subsequently dropped.

Police searched his property over the course of three months over the months of July, August and September and on each occasion saw Alex dealing drugs. On the third occasion, they arrested Rocha and found 303 milligrams of heroin, and 637 milligrams of crack cocaine on him. £940 in pound notes were also found on him, which resulted in him being charged in possession of criminal property.

Alex himself has eleven previous convictions in the past, with the judge himself stating that “Mr Rocha, must think of himself above the law to keep offending”.=

In the past, Alex has had problems with substance abuse and alcohol, along with mental health conditions that were taken into consideration.

After pleading guilty to seven of the charges aforementioned, Alex Rocha was charged with 45 months imprisonment, which at least half of the sentence must be served.
