Voice Training with Vanessa and Nic in the radio studio
– We had to record ourselves reading several news pieces so we could listen back and get feedback from Vanessa on our pace, tone and pitch.

11/02/2019
Audiograms
– We had to create audiograms for social media using the Headliner app. I created a 1 minute audiogram around the subject of “millennial culture” which relates to my final project.

Competition Entry Workshop
– In class we were shown previous entries from competitions we could enter as inspiration for our own entries. At this point I was looking at competitions such as SPA Best Student Photographer, BJP – Female in Focus, and International Student Photo Contest.

Mobile Journalism
We were asked to record a small number of interviews on our phones. This was to show how easy it is for anyone to record, edit and publish a high quality video with a professional look in a matter of minutes.

Podcast
On Thursday, Nic, Remeka, Saf, Leanne and I created our own Podcast about the challenges of getting paid internships while your still a student. This was an interesting experience for me as radio is far from what I want to do, however, I can say that I enjoyed myself due to the relax setting. We had a relaxed chat about our experiences and what our plans are after finishing University.

Live News Day
My role was of News Editor for the TV Live Show and, as much as I enjoyed telling people what to do, it was a very stressful role. I had to make sure everyone uploaded their scripts onto Inception on time, constantly ask if packages were ready and downloaded into the VFX laptop, move around cameras, mic people up, and lastly, be on the production desk. The structure of the show was different to what we were used to, and that only slowed the process even more. In the end, everything ran smoothly, and Nicola and Remeka did an amazing job as presenters.

Music Journalism
On this day we were invited to go to Streatham on a live music session with Beneath the Surface. I took my own equipment which turned out to be of great help. Nic and I helped filming the artist’s performance and I also took some pictures during soundcheck and after the concert. For me this was a great experience as I got along with the people behind “Beneath the Surface” and I intend on pursuing music journalism/videography.

Symposium
On the day of the symposium I was extremely ill which made me even more nervous than what I usually am for public presentations, and so I forgot to say most of the things I had planned.
I spoke for around 2 minutes and showed 3 minutes of my documentary. This had an unexpectedly amazing amount of feedback which left me feeling proud of what I had produced.
