Aims: Module introduction, expectations & voice coaching with Vanessa

Multimedia storytelling is the future and is becoming more common 

Mobile devices and mobile journalism is overtaking desktop and laptop news production and consumption

 

Monday 4th February 2019 10am – 5pm

Aims: Voice coaching in pairs. Live discussion show meeting. Develop ideas for debate show happening 

Skills: Professional practice, using autocue, presenting, interactive ‘naturally’ using a script

 

Thursday 14th February 2019 10am-1pm

Aims: Audiograms – producing audiograms for websites and social media. We picked a story each and created an audiogram with headliner to illustrate it.

 

Monday 18th February 2019 10am-5pm

Aims: Mobile Journalism – video

There is a big focus on mobile journalism in this module. In today’s session Vanessa talked us through filming and editing on our phones. We spent the day making VTS on our phones.

I helped the team prep for their multi debate the following Wednesday. 

 

Monday 18th March 2019 10am-5pm

Aims: Assessed news day

I was assigned role of visual mixer and floor manager on the assess news day. 

 

I spent the rest of the time compiling my competition entry.
