Xanax use has steadily been on the rise over the last 5 years. In 2018 over 204 deaths were reported as a result of the misuse of the drug, all of them aged under 25 with a third of them being students. So why are young people self-medicating? The news comes as the NSPCC, has reported a surge in the number of young people seeking support for anxiety. There is clearly a link in the two cases I spoke to Danny G and Sarah H both previous users to get their thoughts.
