The data of people using online banking shows a steady increase in the last 6 years causing a rise in fraud and computer misuse.

In a society where the Internet has never been more apparent it runs the risk of allowing more and more people to be conned by fraudsters. With the number of incidents (in the thousands) of bank and credit card account fraud at 2,317 for year ending September 2018, showing the risk with the increase of people who use the Internet to do their banking.

In 2013, 50 people used the internet for their banking requirements which has now gone up by 19. Showing a greater need for some sort of protection for people who frequently bank online.
