‘The Truth Behind Drill Music’ is a documentary which was produced as a reaction to the negative media surrounding drill music. I go behind the scenes and speak to an artist, artist managers, a politician, a journalist and an industry expert in order to explore the deep roots behind the current scare of drill music. My aim is to show those behind the music, delving into the meaning of the lyrics and gestures. My target audience is young people who listen to drill music and want to find out the stems of the lyrics and the general public who hold curiosity to the craft which can sometimes be labelled as a threat to society.
