My website: http://islarussell.co.uk

I wanted to use my website to showcase my multi-media work and potential as a features journalist. I took inspiration from sites such as The Pool and Cosmopolitan as these are the types of outlets I would like to work for.

I wanted to use my homepage to link visitors directly to my most recent work in an attempt to get them to immediately engage with my content. It’s also a great way to immediately let visitors know what topic areas I am most interested in.

I wanted to clearly define the type of content I wanted to produce to show visitors the range of topics I could cover. I narrowed my content down to news, features, and opinion. These pages can be found on my header bar for easy navigation. Featured on my News page is some of the work I have done for Journalism London including live news days and packages I have made. This is to show my ability as a multi-media journalist who can produce content on several different platforms.

I wanted to offer visitors to my site a chance to contact me if they had any queries about my content or any stories they would like me to cover. I created a contact page, that can be found on my navigation bar, and a simple contact form that would be easy for visitors to fill out and would be directly posted to my email address to ensure that I can respond to any emails as soon as possible.
