My website is about the things I am most passionate about, beauty, fashion and food. My website mimics the style and content of what I want to do as a career after i graduate. My layout was inspired by Harpers Bazaar meets Cosmopolitan with the Mahria touch, being simple yet bold. I have given honest reviews and advice, I have also linked my social media and Linkedin. I have social media buttons on the top left hand side of every page that move with the page as you scroll. I also have social media pop up’s that are displayed on the 4 th image, if you scroll to the bottom of a post a box appears with my social media links. This is to remind my readers to explore beyond my website, as on my social media I am constantly engaging with my follows to ask questions and to let me know if they want me to try certain products, review places/things or anything they need help with (in terms of skincare/fashion). I installed a plugin called Jetpack which allows self hosted sites to view their website statistics. So I can monitor views on posts and also the country they are viewed from, comments and overall which posts are the most popular and the best time of day to post according to my readers activity.
