08 May Workbook

10th April:

Started to find some datasets. Some conflicted each other with stats and figures. I also looked through some different designs for the infographic that I could have possibly used.

14th April:

Sampled different designs and also found some more data. I Planned to use Canva and a design of theirs.

16th April:

Changed to Piktochart as some of Canva’s designs wouldn’t let me get rid of unwanted elements of it. Looked through a few Piktochart designs and settled for one

19th April:

Began to add and remove design features from the Infographic as well as look into additional pieces of data and any possible counter arguments against pieces of data.

23rd April:

Infographic is coming along, still adding and removing features. Created a bar chart and pie chart however i removed the pie chart as it is not fully clear on the infographic and looked too small

26th April:

Began writing the article as the infographic is nearing completion. Looked for more pieces of data that could possibly replace others that are not needed or clash with one another.

30th April:

Adding pieces of data to the article that I had recently found and also experimenting with more graphs and charts that I could include.

Issues:

Some data was of inadequate size and gave a poor representation in data sampling. Certain data was hard to access or unavailable to find, such as the percentage of teenage offenders in recent years.
