April 10th – found all of my data sets, except for Employment in the EU and GDP rates.

Researched the topic and dove in to a lesson on GDP and how it affects the population in order to be able to understand the data I’m using on my infographic.

April 13th – first design ideas and planned the way I want my infographic to look via a wire frame. The original wire frame worked exactly how I wanted it to so I did not have to change it at all.

I settled for using the application visme to create my infographic due to its seeming simplicity and access to many types of charts and graphics. However as I kept using visme I ran into many problems such as on April 19th when creating the map graphic the app kept making countries red automatically which would mean I had to go back and change them to the correct colour and then double check that it hadn’t done it again right as I finished. This caused me a lot of problems as the app was also having some glitches in terms of adding or removing text boxes and the undo button would not bring them back so often I was stuck rewriting my information.

May 4th – As I was nearing the end of my infographic I struggled with integrating the last graphic which was to do with employment as it didn’t quite follow the style of my overall infographic, but I really wanted it to be a part of it as it adds a lot of valuable information.
