15 May Job role critique
on Week 3 and 4 which i was put for the assistant web editor’s job role for the live radio show. on friday 17th of February was the first week of my job role. As a assistant web editor i worked closely with the editor and took instruction from him then followed his instruction. My responsibilities were to make sure that all the contents had hyperlinks that were relevant to the news stories. I have written a news story for that day as part of my role and chosen an appropriate image that was relevant to the story. when choosing the image, i was the copyright of that image. I have written the news story in inception and saved it there, then the web editor that i was working with helped me to publish it. I learned some new things from this job role such as how to caption and credit the feature images, how to publish the written piece. the thing that i liked about this job role was the writing and what i disliked was finding the right featured image for the news story. if i were to do this job role again, i would try to use a more suitable featured image relevant to the story. I followed the same procedure on week 4 (24/02/2018) as well. On week 4 i have written a news story about winter olympic and was published by the web editor.
