23 Mar What No F*cker Taught You – Jordan Platt – Final Project
What No F*cker Taught You is a long-form journalism piece based off of the 2017 School Report produced by Stonewall. My target audience is my fellow peers, LGBT+ youth aged 18-25, and secondary, anyone person who’s interest in the issues and stigmas LGBT+ folk face.
The lack of social change and attitudes towards LGBT individuals amongst their peers can be put down to a lack of education from the system, and that’s why this project was created – to educate. That was the main aim, the second aim was to have an honest and frank discussion about being LGBT+ and the issues that that can entail.
Along with five articles, creating a long form journalism piece, and building an online space to present it, I created a podcast trailer, and teaser interviews in order to pitch my project to publications like GAY Times and Pink News, in order to produce a podcast series.
