FINAL WEBSITE SUBMISSION – Leynna-Jay Honegan

11 Jan FINAL WEBSITE SUBMISSION – Leynna-Jay Honegan

My blog is based around music and entertainment so I made sure that my main image was related to music in some way, therefore every month I use an image of a music artist. For example this month features SZA an American artist with an additional accredited post on my blog giving credit to the photographer who shot the photograph.

The homepage is easy to navigate as it clearly shows the organisation of my content. The ‘Blog’ ‘Music’ and ‘CV/Covering Letter’ have a drop down menu with other additional content on my website sorted into categories. My CV has its own page where I’ve included PDF’s to make it easy for an employer to download my CV.

The featured page is personal to me as I choose my favourite pieces to be featured on the home page of my blog. These three articles/poetry; I love Being Me And Only Me, The Impact Of Hair Loss, Little Black Girl Don’t Cry are the most popular pieces on my blog. I thought this added a nice touch, so the reader could feel involved in the featured page as if I chose those articles for them personally.

‘Blog Stats’ shows how many times my blog has been viewed by the public. The reason why I chose to make this feature public on my blog was to remind me of my achievements and gain an insight into how well/bad my website is doing.

Featured Publications page is almost like a mini portfolio page, where I’ve listed the media companies and music websites I’ve worked for. This allows the reader to see my skills and what Im interested in doing. Each title is hyperlinked to my published work with a featured image of the companies logo in chronological order from newest to oldest.
