My website is based on News and politics in the UK and all around the world. The theme I bought had a Visual composer and through that I was able to use the grid builder and design my pages according to my preference. The colors I chose to base my website on is red and white, a very clean and subtle combination.
Although I designed a Logo I didn’t want to display it on the top bar, next to the title. I wanted my website to look simple and clean so I just added the logo to the tab (as shown bellow).
My menu has 10 categories including the home page and they all have a specific colour. Not only does the different colors look good it also helps readers to navigate and link every article to a category.
The main home page very basic with the recent posts and the featured posts displayed clearly. Apart from Al Jazeera’s RSS news feeds and the main menu I didn’t add anything else.
All my articles uniformed and presentable with a clear title, tag line, image and a by line. I made sure that all my articles have at least one quote and hyperlinks so readers can easily access and read other articles linked to mine.

On the other categories I added a simple side bar. I have my social media accounts twitter and Instagram but I still need to create accounts for YouTube and Facebook and link them. Below that I have added the London weather forecast.
