Final Website Submission – Jordan Platt

10 Jan Final Website Submission – Jordan Platt

My main priority with my site was to make sure it had a house style – I stuck to grey and white as the base colours allowing myself to brighten it up then with random pops of subtle colour (as you can see with my landing page below).

I wanted a simple yet effective design that showed off my previous University work. If you look within the posts published also, you can see a disclaimer on some posts clarifying when the work was produced, so employers will know that my standard off work has increased over my time at University.

I want you to take a look specifically at the ‘About‘ page as it’s been completed in-depth so future employers and readers of my site (as the homepage will be changed into a steady blog over the next month once the CSS coding for it is sorted) as it details who I am, where I’ve been and where I want to go in my career.

I’ve included social media links wherever possible so people are aware that I have a keen interest in it. There’s an Instagram feed constantly at the bottom of the page. My Twitter feed is on the side bar in posts and every other page apart from ‘Home’.

Also, all my work is categorised – if you click the ‘Portfolio‘ button you’ll see a drop down menu allowing readers to find specific content and making the site easier to manoeuvre.

My CV has it’s own seperate page and the imagery is linked to an ePDF so employers can download it. There’s also a contact page for general enquiries.

Side note – the page ‘What No F*cker Told You’ is password protected because it’s the page where my Journalism Project will be.
