12 Dec Man Murdered Outside Busy London Pub

Solomon Davis, a man charged with the murder of an acquaintance was caught on CCTV calmly walking away from the scene with a knife in his hand, the Old Bailey heard today. Vincent Harvey, aged 33 was stabbed during a fight in the early hours of the morning last year outside The Jolly Anglers pub in Wood Green, say the prosecuting lawyers. He suffered 14 stab wounds before a witness, named as Mr. Thompson, says he pulled them apart but paramedics pronounced Vincent Harvey dead at the scene. Witnesses, including his girlfriend, Charlotte Asar say they surrounded Harvey and then saw him bleeding from the head and face and then collapsing.

The jury was told that the motive behind the attack remains unclear, although Charlotte Asar said that the victim was visibly agitated earlier in the evening after finishing work at the nearby pub, The Goose. Door staff to the Jolly Anglers ‘tried to calm him down’ Davis’ defence lawyers said. Davis originally went on trial for the murder in April but the jury was discharged without reaching a verdict and a retrial was set. He pleads not guilty to murder.
