11 May Student Accomodation Shortage in Borough
With London rapidly becoming one of the most go to locations for university, accommodation is getting harder to find. JLDN reporters Alice, Safiyah and Nick went around Borough and spoke to students at London South Bank University to find out what they think of the accommodation they are in now, whether they are in halls or flats and also where they will be after summer ends this year.
My contribution to our VT package was my role as camera operator. Nick Newton had the main role as editor and Saf Bennington’s role was the presenter. We all contributed to research and kept in contact in person as well as over a Facebook group chat set up by myself prior to the start of the project. As camera operator, I was responsible for booking out equipment needed from the Kit Room and shooting the VT. In shooting, I took responsibility of setting up the shots and making sure the mic was working as well as adjusting the focus and lighting. This is something Nick also helped me with. When it came to editing the VT, I assisted Saf in editing the footage into Premiere Pro.
