Many residents in the Dulwich area are becoming frustrated with the lack of transport, as well as frequent delays and cancellations. The Office of Rail and Road (ORR) received 32.1 complaints per 100,000 journeys for Southern Railways between October and December.

My role as the camera operator was to make sure each shot was aligned well so that the viewer had a clear view of the subject in question. Having to make sure the lighting was not reflecting against the said subject. I had to make sure that the height of the subject was clear and that there wasn’t any part of the subject missing as this may have confused the audience into thinking the body was missing. My role was simply to bring the correct attention to the subject in question. The problems I faced were on the days of filming there seemed to be a lot of sunshine and getting the subjects into the right lighting sometimes proved difficult, as some people were unwilling to move. Also approaching people for the vox pops sometimes did not go to plan, many people were unwilling to film unfortunately but the ones who did had very interesting things to say. The other issues were trying to film whilst having the mic in a convenient location, we did not want the subject to be too far away so we could not hear, but we didn’t want the mic too close so it was in shot, unfortunately at some points the mic was visible.
