10 May Poor Transport Links Cause Disappointment In Dulwich

Many residents in the Dulwich area are becoming frustrated with the lack of transport, as well as frequent delays and cancellations. The Office of Rail and Road (ORR) received 32.1 complaints per 100,000 journeys for Southern Railways between October and December.

When creating our submission, there were a variety of roles in which I contributed towards during the production process. One of my main roles was being the groups researcher. Using the East Dulwich Forum, I noticed that the transport links in Dulwich was a repetitive complaint made by local resident’s. Informing the group of the research that I had found, we came to a mutual agreement that it was a fitting topic for our final Submission. I then went on to research the facts and statistics about the transport, specifically southern railways and TFL, using their main websites. This research was then to be used for our script. As well as researching the general statistics, I researched for a potential profile candidate for our expert interview, contacting Six Dulwich Councillors, as well as TFL and Southern Rail. Another role that I took on, was being a reporter when collecting the Vox pops. Deciding to film a East Dulwich Station, I created three questions to ask local commuters about their thoughts towards the transport links and managed to gain four responses. The last role that I had encountered during the assignment was working behind the camera when filming the Piece To Camera.
