Interactive element- Social media blog Tumblr
For my interactive media element, I decided to use the Tumblr page I made for the sports group at the middle of March.
Tumblr is a social media platform with a huge audience and is a great community to share videos, blog posts and other news. I wanted to make a Tumblr blog for the sports group because I felt like it was a fun way to contact new audiences and share people what we were doing. In the JLDN sports Tumblr, I shared some ‘behind the scenes’ materials, as well as our weekly audio and video posts. I also shared updates quite regularly and even added some live blogs. I tried to be most active before the live shows, and to update the blog with links to the show. I tried to vary the content by using video clips, pictures, gifs and the material produced in the live show.

I chose to use Tumblr instead of twitter, because the platform has more flexibility and is more comfortable for different formats and change. I believe that the JLDN Sports Tumblr has been a fun addition to our live element and we have gained few followers on our page as well. I think it was a great way to spread information and document our journey online.
