Production log
Week 10:
The first week back after the Easter break; we had our live Global Campus show. That Monday was a calm day, since everyone had their VT’s sorted out and scripts finished. We didn’t have a radio show that week, but focused on the Global Campus show and the feedback we got from that.
Since I was the assistant editor, my job was to help Nevan with the next week’s script and planning. We had a meeting, discussing the next week’s live show and how we would handle it and what everyone would do. Since the next Monday would be a bank holiday, we tried to pre-plan to make the Tuesday less hectic. This involved making notes of everyone’s actions, following them through and making sure that we had enough content.
Since the Global Campus show was mostly scripted and organized by the team in Canada (and Nevan, Ellie and Daniela), there was not much left for me to organize.
The week’s experience was encouraging, because I got to see how my editing skills paid off. I also got to witness a second Global Campus show, which was a nice and teaching experience.
