Homepage: On my homepage I have my logo which I created and beneath that I have the four sectors (or skills) which I want to highlight to a future employer. I also have a menu with the four main skills as well as an About,Contact and CV pages. Ideally I would’ve liked to have my logo positioned above the main menu, and also would like social media feeds (i.e. Twitter and Instagram).

About: On this page you’ll find a picture of myself and a small description about who I am and what I do. I like the set up of this page because of the large image and minimalist style it gives off.

Posts:  This is an example of how each one of my posts is displayed. They all follow the same house style with the writing being on the left and an image on right (my photography posts tend to have a slideshow or additional individual images on the left as well). I thought this layout worked best because we read from left to right and our eyes will follow the text and then the image to further support what was written. In the future these sections would be filled with social media work I’d have done for various clients.

CV:  Since my website is a portfolio I thought it best to have my CV on there. I added an additional page with an image of my CV and also included a pdf version at the bottom to make it easier for an employer.

Contact:  Lastly I have a contact page. Here I have the links to all my relevant social media channels including Twitter and Instagram. There’s also a message box where anyone can easily get in contact with directly. I think this feature is really useful as it’s very quick and direct. The only issue I have is I would have wanted the social media icons to be larger and more apparent through out my website. For that I just need to find a responsive plugin which would allow me to include feeds.

Logo and Favicon: Also thought I’d mention my logo and favicon which I revamped. They’re both very simple and minimalistic as that’s my general aesthetic. My logo is just my name with an octagon overlaid and my favicon is my initials on a black circle. I thought the black circle would stand out a lot more since it’s so small, it’s also the same font.
