04 Jan Pacemaker Magazine – Website by Monique Mehler
Pacemaker Magazine is the name of the website I created over the last few months. Here are five screengrabs and a short explanation of editorial choices I made and why I picked those areas for special attention. Enjoy!
1 – HOMEPAGE
Welcome to the homepage! Under the header and main menu, you can find an image carousel that features all the festival and gig reviews. Underneath, there’s a list of all the latest posts. On the right side, a fixed post widget takes you to information about artists on tour. Social media channels can be accessed via icons at the very top and the very bottom.
2 – FESTIVALS AND GIGS
The purpose of this screenshot of a festival I attended and reviewed is to show what my house style looks like. There’s always a headline, standfirst and featured image followed by text and different media elements such as images, sliders, and embeds from social media.
3 – RECORD OF THE WEEK
This section features reviews about new music releases. With this screenshot, I want to showcase what the category overview looks like. On the side, as fixed widgets, I added a specially created Instagram account and an archive.
4 – PLAYLISTS
As a more interactive highlight, I created monthly favourite playlists and a 2016 favourites playlist and added them onto the website in form of a Spotify embed.
5 – ABOUT PACEMAKER MAGAZINE
This section explains what my website Pacemaker Magazine is about, who I am and how you can contact me.
