As the founding editor of online gospel magazine 2BRealMagazine, I was excited to be able to use this module to develop a commercial site for my business. Below are five screenshots and an explanation of the editorial choices I made on why I have picked these areas for special attention.
- Homepage– Welcome to 2BRealMagazine- The U.K No.1 for urban gospel daily living. Under the logo sits the main menu followed by a full length 1/3 post split slider carousel. The row that follows which was split into two columns houses the features section with a full width video player beneath. Moving into the next section, the row is split into 5/6 + 1/6 columns which showcases the other categories on the magazine. The 1/6 sidebar houses our social media feeds, latest news and advertisements.
- Sign Up– On entering the website and proceeding to scroll, readers are given the option to subscribe to the magazines weekly email list, where they will be updated with the latest content published to the magazine.
- Article- 25 year old Rita Balogun is a successful owner of two hair salons in London. Her article can be found under the interview category, which sits under the parent category called features. All featured content carries the same house style, and all articles for the magazine house a 1/4 right hand sidebar, that features advertisements, most viewed content and our Twitter and Instagram feeds..
- Category– The parent category called features captures the dropdown list for this section. The hierarchy allowed the children categories to display the variety of articles that is on the magazine. All category sections house a 1/3 right hand sidebar which features the latest news, upcoming events and our Soundcloud page.
- Footer– Our footer sidebar houses three columns which showcases our recent posts, a search bar, email sign up and all our social media platforms that you can follow us on.
