Acupuncture Treatment at Confucius Institute

02 May Acupuncture Treatment at Confucius Institute

With upcoming exams and assessments students tend to feel anxious and stressed. To reduce the stress, we went to try acupuncture, writes Cindy Drabaviciute

Having our own Confucius Institute at university, where students practice Traditional Chinese Medicine, we decided to head down there to try out acupuncture and see if the helps in reducing stress and anxiety, among other conditions like chronic back pain.

Acupuncture has been practiced in China for over 2,500 years and is now widely accepted across the world including the UK. Acupuncture has been proven to have a beneficial effect on conditions such as chronic back pain, tension – type headaches, migraines and more.

In a survey on acupuncture being an effective method at treating illness approximately 50% of British adults answered that acupuncture is possibly an effective treatment with 5% disagreeing and saying that it definitely is not an effective treatment.
