Studying abroad has proven a real trend in recent years. Wendell Berry once said: “Nobody can discover the world for somebody else. Only when we discover it for ourselves does it become common ground and a common bond and we cease to be alone”. But how come that so many students from European Union member states settle over to the United Kingdom, and especially London, for their studies?

In January 2015, the Higher Education Statistics Agency released a document about student enrolments in 2013 and 2014 stating that 132,000 students from EU enrolled at UK universities. Numbers are at a record high and rose by 18 per cent since 2008. This podcast is going to look at what made the UK so attractive to students who recently graduated from London South Bank University.
