I chose this theme as I wanted my website to be related to today’s news, entertainment, music and travel. My home page features my name right in the top, as I believe it’s clear and it gets straight to the point of my website. Also, under my name I have decided to add the date and the London weather, where I am currently located. The reason I chose the colour blue for the links, is because I believe it’s a very neutral colour, in which, I did not think it was necessary for me to add a more bright colour. My website is very easy to navigate, under each category, the reader will be able to see three of my recent posts I have written.

On my slides, you will able to see the most important posts, what is called sticky posts. I have decided to make these as the sticky posts, as it is one of the most important and most talked topics nowadays.

Sidebar

UntitledUntitled2sidebar2

I have different styles of sidebar, in the top of the page, there are two sidebars, in the left, and in the right. For the left side, I have decided to add the ‘Latest Posts’, which is every recent post of mine, as for the right side, I have the search bar, all my flickr pictures, and then a featured video from my YouTube account. Also, when you scroll down a little bit, you will see the category, ‘entertainment‘, and my recent twitter feed. A little further down, you will be able to see the category, ‘Travel‘, and all my tags under it, which shows that the ones that are popping out are the ones that I have most used.

Posts

post

As soon as the readers’ click in a post they want to read they will be able to read all the content in the post, and also they will be seeing a ‘recent posts’ and ‘categories’ in the sidebar, therefore it will be easier for them to navigate.

Contact Page

In the contact page, you will be able to see a contact box, where the reader will be able to leave me any questions they want to ask, and behind there is a Google map, with the address of where I am located written in front.

Bottom

In the bottom of my page, you will be able to find my Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram account. There is a ‘recent news’ box, which is all the recent posts I have done so far. There is also an ‘About Me’ box, where it is talking a little bit of who I am and what the website is about. And finally, there’s a Meta box, so the reader who have their own website, can login into their account easily.
