This is a report based on Lauren Corentin. Lauren is the wife of David Corentin, a soldier who has been serving in the army for 11 years. She has been in a relationship with David for 6 years and they married in 2014. Lauren has only ever known David with the occupation of a solider, so she claims that she is used to the situation. She is currently five months pregnant and David will be away through most of the pregnancy. In this report she explains what it is like to be pregnant and having a husband away at war for long periods of time. We also have an audio interview based on two young adults who have each had a father in the war.
As well as this, we have the input of professionals such as charity workers and a psychiatrist who explain how they deal with people in Lauren’s situation.
It is called ‘The other side of the war‘ as it is focused on the loved ones of soldiers and how they deal with having a father/husband away in the war.
